My recent stay at Hofsstadir - Country exceeded all my expectations in every way possible. As a landscape photographer, I value tranquility and the sounds of nature, and this guesthouse provided just that. The spacious cabin-style room was a true haven, complete with modern amenities like underfloor heating that kept me warm and cozy during chilly Icelandic nights. The attention to detail was impeccable, with a large TV offering Netflix for entertainment, and the delightful addition of tea and coffee facilities for a perfect morning pick-me-up. Stepping out onto the charming terrace from my room, I was greeted with breathtaking views that truly enhanced my stay.The dining experience at Hofsstadir was equally exceptional. From the delicious breakfast spread featuring unique options like Potato Salad, Fresh Bread, and handmade jams, to the delectable dinner menu showcasing Icelandic specialties like Birch soup and perfectly cooked cod, every meal was a delight for the senses. The friendly and attentive staff, particularly the young man who assisted me during check-in and dinner service, added a personal touch to the already outstanding service. The picturesque location overlooking a river and fjord, combined with the cozy rooms and top-notch dining options, made it my favorite accommodation during my Icelandic trip.
